Stillaguamish Learning Center

The Stillaguamish Learning Center was designed at the heart of the Stillaguamish Village, located directly across from the existing Stillaguamish Community Center and fronting the entranceway of the Village. The intent of the project is to provide a dedicated gathering space for cultural events and education for Stillaguamish Tribal members. The building is designed as a contemporary version of the Central Coast Salish cedar plankhouse. The gathering space is framed by rectangular glulam columns and beams, reflecting the heavy timber framing of traditional plankhouse.
