RIMS House
The RIMS House is a three-story, passive solar home with Green Building Features. The building is built into a south-facing slope with minimal site disturbance, an ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) lower level, and SIP (Structural Insulated Panel) upper levels. ICFs are a sustainable option due to their energy efficiency, reduced construction waste, and use of recycled materials. SIPs contribute to the building’s passive solar performance as a super-insulated, airtight construction method that helps control indoor air quality and is made with renewable resources.
