Maȟpíya Lúta Heritage Center

The Maȟpíya Lúta Heritage Center, formerly called the Red Cloud Indian School Heritage Center, is a nonprofit organization and project based in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. The center is located on the Pine Ridge Reservation, home to the Oglala Lakȟóta tribe. The building will feature galleries, a Native art collection, community spaces, and supporting services for indigenous contemporary artists. The new building will also include a water tower and improved fire suppression to ensure the safety of the permanent collection.
