Colville Tribe’s Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Center

Responding to the Colville Tribe’s need for a Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Center and Recovery Group Homes, 7 Directions Architects and Planners led the Feasibility Study, Schematic Design and Business Plan Reports for the project on the Colville Reservation.

Encompassing extensive research, community meetings, ‘kit-of-parts’ workshops, programming, site selection, site analysis, schematic and conceptual layouts, the design process rendered an integrated and user-oriented approach. The project intends to express and celebrate culture as well as traditions along with creating a healing environment. The center reflects upon a sustainable design with Net-Zero buildings within the constraints of the budget ($10 million) and site conditions.
